Honestly, I did not think these shoes would be as comfortable as they are. Saw these on a friend at a picnic and decided to try it out. These shoes are AMAZING! I use them as my main training shoes, but I walk around with them every day. Highly recommended.

Review of Saguaro shoes in the ( very remote) real world As someone who has spent, and continues to spend , many years in remote wilderness areas, I am VERY particular and selective about the gear I choose to take on extended outings- replacement is not an option, nearest outlet, hundreds if not thousands kms away- so selecting every piece of gear is a carefully considered phase of pre expedition preparation. Shoes are of course, the foundations… For my current little outing- 73 days and counting , Choosing Saguaro shoes was a no brainer- after floods and rains the desert was going to present some unusual challenged, sand, rocky terrain, sharp vegetation , but also mud, water crossing, and icy mornings of sleek ground - I needed something that could handle these very varied conditions, I knew I’ll get soaking wet feet but regular waterproof shoes was not ideal in deep crossings well above ankle high - what was ideal were non slip quick drying ! Crossing fast flowing creeks without seeing what’s at the bottom, was no place for bare feet experiments… but feeling the bottom was essential- so the choice was obvious - saguaro has always delivered for me, comfort, traction, reliability, versatility , and fast excellent customer service from a company that is clearly proud of the products they make - but equally, and importantly- about their customers satisfaction and confidence in the product and the brand. ( side note: on the one occasion where I had a minor concern about wear in a pair of saguaro, I contacted the company to get advice - their response - in less then 12 hours! Was to send me a brand new pair - free- no complicated process, doubts, questions… impressive, and quite uncommon these days- it sure builds confidence in the brand) So far, my selection of and trust and conviction in the shoes has proven right , and as the terrain changes from desert to ocean , rugged coastal cliffs and slippery trails to remote bays and sandy beaches, they are still the only shoes I have worn all this time … and hopefully, they, and me, will just keep going . And finally, for those ( like me) who like to feel connected to the place they are at, and grounded.. well, I’m not gonna tell you to choose saguaro bare feet shoes. But I am. Be safe out there . I admit I love wearing Saguaro shoes. I have worn an identical pair for at least 18 months and bought a second pair to keep exclusively for wearing in the gym. They are brilliant for every day use and in the gym - especially strength training & circuits. They have a uniform tread pattern across one of Saguaro’s thinner soles making them very flexible and grippy. I normally wear my Saguaros loosely laced but for strength work I lace them more tightly. This protects my feet while still maintaining that close contact with the floor. Barefoot shoes may not suit everyone but at this quality & price it’s worth trying them to find out. Start out for a few minutes and build up steadily to a whole session. They are so comfortable you may be tempted to keep them on longer but give your feet and legs a chance to get used to them. I think it will be worth it in the end.

I’m slightly disappointed by these shoes for the following reason. When I bought them I was super excited and thought they were great. But now after a few weeks of using toe spacers, my toes spread more at rest and I realised my pinky is actually squished by the toe box! Which is bad since I bought these shoes with a wider toe box partly to correct my toe alignement and my twisted pinkies! So I’m quite disappointed that the wide toe box is actually too narrow (and my toes or feet are not particularly wide, in my opinion). Aside from this however, the shoes are very comfy, fit great and are of high quality (especially given the price!). I’m happy that Saguaro were my first minimalistic shoes in my transition. I’m always a bit afraid to order shoes online but it was so easy and my usual size turned out to fit perfectly in terms of “vertical” space, with a little more room at the end than my previous non-minimalistic shoes (my toes loved this extra space, too bad the horizontal spacing was not as generous). In any case, be aware that the Correct Toes toe spreaders don’t fit inside (at least in my size 11), my pinkies started hurting after using them for a bit!

My first barefoot shoe, very comfortable and true to size (UK 38) I have worn them on a walk and they have good grip and look nice. My only problem is they are a neoprene so they are really hot and not very breathable. I will have to buy another pair for summer hiking

The fit is great. Very comfortable upper and the toe box is very wide. I have had troubles finding this fit properly in Saguaros for a while now, as this is my 4th pair, but are the best fitting since the first. Recommend these for sure. They have a slightly tighter archway, and the feeling of springiness that comes with that is nice. I will be cross training, calisthenics, rowing, and running in these.

Adjust your size guide to make it compatible with the shoe design. All my shoes are EU 44 and have been for many years. When I used your size guide instructions it came out at EU 44 - good. I ordered the shoes, they were delivered and when I tried them on they fitted loosely. Not a problem at the time, so I disposed of the packaging and then I wore them out and the length became a problem when I walked up stairs and tripped. Your returns policy is so stringent that I feel I would be wasting my money by shipping them back to you for exchange because I have worn them once, the packaging has been disposed of, the quality is fine but your size guide is defective. Lesson learnt - never by clothing on the internet as sizing could be an issue and it was in my case.
